Hoodie, T-shirt, coach's jacket: how to put together club clothing that looks the same for juniors and adults and can be reordered for years.

Which garments a club really needs

Not every club needs a full catalogue. What matters more is that the pieces go together and can be reordered for years. A matching hoodie often replaces the classic tracksuit: it works for training, the trip to an away game and the prize-giving. You’ll find a wide choice of models for adults and children among our hoodies printed with your logo.

From there you build the system in four parts:

  • T-shirts

For training, tournaments and helpers at the club fete. For many identical shirts with few colours, screen printing pays off.

    Screen printing DTF

  • FrontBack

    Hoodies

The piece for everyone: crest on the chest, club name large on the back.

    Screen printing DTF

  • Jackets for coaches and helpers

An embroidered crest looks especially smart here. On jackets with a membrane we prefer to print, because needle holes can make them leak.

    Embroidery DTF

  • Gym sacks and bags

For boots, kit and water bottle – easy to spot in the changing room with the club name on.

Children and adults in the same look

If your club has a youth section, the choice of model decides whether everyone ends up looking the same. Pick a model family that comes in the same colours for adults and children. Two examples from our range:

ModelAdultsChildrenShared colours (selection)
Sol's CondorUnisex, XXS to 5XL, 280 g/m²4 to 14 years (96/104 to 154/164), 280 g/m²Black, French Navy, Royal Blue 241, Bright Red, Grey Melange, White
Build Your Brand Basic HoodyXS to 7XL, 270 g/m²110/116 to 158/164, 300 g/m²Black, Navy, Heather Grey, C. Green, White

For the youngest

The Build Your Brand Kids’ Organic Basic Hoody has a hood without drawstrings and is made of organic cotton. On small sizes a smaller crest looks more balanced. We settle the right size in the layout consultation.

Getting club colours and crest right

Club clothing brings two colour worlds together: the colour of the garment and the colour of the print. You choose the garment colour from the manufacturer’s colours, such as French Navy or Bright Red. We match the print colour to your crest. Also watch the contrast: a navy crest on a navy hoodie disappears. A light outline or a different garment colour helps.

Give colours as values

If your club has Pantone or HKS values for the crest, send them along. That way we get as close as possible to the club colour in print.

The crest in good quality

Ideally as a vector file. A photographed crest is usually not enough for large back prints – we’ll tell you whether it works.

Embroidery or print for the club crest?

We do both in-house. Which technique fits depends on the crest and the garment:

Criterion Thread, raised Embroidery Ink on top Print
LookHigh-quality and three-dimensionalFlat, colourful, detailed
ColoursWe embroider with up to three thread coloursMany colours and gradients
SizeChest, sleeve, smaller designsLarge back designs too

TypicalCrest on the coach’s jacketClub name on the back of the hoodie

The embroidery file that translates your crest for the machine is included. More about embroidery with us is on our page textile embroidery.

Names, numbers and sponsors

A name on the back turns the club hoodie into a personal piece. On hoodies and shirts we usually apply names in flex, flock or DTF. On jackets and polos you can have names embroidered.

Sponsors are best placed separately from the crest, for example on the sleeve or low on the back. If a sponsor changes, only that element changes. How names and numbers are made on jerseys is explained in our guide Printing or flocking jerseys?, and you’ll find the right font in our post on choosing jersey fonts.

Organising a group order in your club

With a group order, a lot of the work lies in coordination. With this process it comes together with few follow-up questions:

  1. Decide the range

The committee or section chooses a few garments, one garment colour and where the crest goes.

  2. Collect sizes

A list with name, garment and size, with children’s sizes for the kids. It’s best to compare sizes with a garment you already own.

  3. Set a deadline

A fixed date makes sure everyone ends up in one joint order.

  4. Order and approve

You order in the shop, we advise on the layout free of charge. Then you check the print approval, the digital preview, and approve it.

  5. Hand out

Delivery usually takes approx. 7–10 working days. With the size list you hand out the garments quickly.

Whether the crest on the club hoodie is better embroidered or printed is covered in our guide Hoodies: embroidery or print?.

Reordering season after season

Side note

New members join every season. To make their garments look exactly like the first ones, plan for reorders as early as your first order.

Print with a trophy and a year on a navy shirt

From the workshop

The year belongs on the season shirt

The photo shows a print with a trophy and a year on a navy shirt. Designs like this belong to one event. For clothing you reorder over several years, it’s better to leave dates out and save them for the tournament or season shirt.

How reordering works

  • Note the model and manufacturer colour, for example Condor in French Navy
  • Keep the crest file and the position and size of the design
  • Place dates and changing sponsors separately from the crest
  • Before reordering, check that your model and colour are still available

Can children’s and adult sizes go into one order?

Yes. You combine models, colours and sizes freely. That way you order hoodies for juniors and adults in one go.

Do we embroider or print the crest on children’s hoodies?

Both work. Embroidery looks high-quality, print reproduces fine details and many colours. On small sizes we plan the crest a little smaller.

How long does a club order take?

Delivery usually takes approx. 7–10 working days. Allow extra time for collecting sizes in the club, especially before the season starts.

Will we see what the crest looks like beforehand?

Yes. Before production you receive a print approval showing position, size and colours. We only start once you approve it.
