Which B&C models suit print and which suit embroidery – with material and fabric weight from our product data, tips on methods and care, and the background to the PETA certification.

What makes B&C good for logo garments

B&C is a brand of basics that are easy to decorate: T-shirts in men’s, women’s and kids’ cuts, long-sleeve shirts and polo shirts. You’ll find the current models in our collection of B&C printed & embroidered garments. There you choose model, colour and sizes and upload your logo directly.

For decoration, the fabric matters most. For the shirts, our product data says “pre-shrunk, ring-spun cotton in single jersey”. Pre-shrunk means the fabric hardly shrinks any more in the wash. Ring-spun means the fibres are twisted tightly. The result is a smooth, even surface – a good basis for crisp print edges.

Vegan and fairly made

According to the manufacturer, B&C uses no animal-derived materials and is certified by PETA. B&C is also a member of the Fair Wear Foundation, an initiative for fair working conditions in garment production.

The B&C models at a glance

The table shows the models you can order with your logo from us. Material and fabric weight come from our product data. Fabric weight is the weight of the fabric per square metre: the higher it is, the firmer and more opaque the fabric.

Model Type Material according to product data Fabric weight
T-Shirt #E190 T-shirt, men’s/unisex 100% cotton, single jersey, no side seams 185 g/m²
T-Shirt Women's #E190 T-shirt, women’s 100% cotton, single jersey, with side seams 185 g/m²

The colour Sport Grey contains viscose: 15% in the shirts, 10% in the polo. If pure cotton matters to you, we will tell you the composition for each colour.

T-shirt or polo for your team?

Most enquiries about B&C revolve around two models: the #E190 T-shirt and the My Polo 180. Both come in women’s and men’s versions. The difference lies in the fabric and the look:

Criterion Crew neck, jersey T-Shirt #E190 Piqué, collar My Polo 180
Fabric Smooth single jersey, 185 g/m² Piqué with a fine texture, 180 g/m²

Which other fabrics and cuts there are for polos, and where the logo sits best, is covered in our guide to company polo shirts with logo.

Printing B&C: DTF or screen printing?

We do both methods in our own workshop in Munich. Which one fits depends less on the shirt than on your design and the run size.

The smooth jersey of the #E190 gives both methods an even surface, front and back. Read more about our methods on the page textile printing.

  1. 1Print on filmDigital, all colours in one pass
  2. 2Adhesive powderBonds to the fabric later
  3. 3Heat and pressureThe press transfers the design
DTF is strong for
Multicolour logos, gradients, fine details and mixed orders
Screen printing is strong for
Larger runs with a few clear colours
DTF in three steps: print the design on film, apply powder, press it onto the shirt

Embroidery: where it works best on B&C

Embroidery looks high-quality and lasts through many washes. But it needs a fabric that can carry the stitches. We create the embroidery file for you, and it is included. Up to 3 thread colours are possible per design.

  • My Polo 180 and My Polo 180 /Women

Firm piqué and a stable collar – the classic choice for an embroidered chest logo.

  • Small logo on the #E190

At 185 g/m², the jersey carries a compact chest logo well.

  • Large embroidery on shirts

Dense stitching can pucker jersey. We prefer to print large designs on the chest or back.

Which model suits your purpose?

The quickest way to the right model is to ask what the clothing is for:

  • Your team needs matching shirts for a trade fair or event.

    #E190 with print

  • Your logo has many colours or a gradient.

    #E190 with DTF

  • Your team includes women and men, and everyone should look the same.

    Women’s and men’s cuts

  • For your club or school you also need kids’ sizes.

    Kids #E190

  • The logo should look high-quality when meeting customers.

    My Polo 180 embroidered

  • Often the best answer

Polo for the office, shirt for events

The embroidered polo for everyday work, the printed shirt for promotions – with the same logo, both look like one brand.

Are B&C garments vegan?

Yes. B&C is certified by PETA: its clothing contains no animal-derived materials. This applies to the garment itself. Our inks and threads are not covered by it – if that matters to you, just ask us.

Can I mix women’s, men’s and kids’ shirts?

Yes. The #E190 comes as a men’s, women’s and kids’ model. You combine the cuts in one order, and we put the same logo on every piece. In the print approval you see the position and size for each garment.

Print or embroidery on the #E190 T-shirt?

Both work. For large or multicolour designs we recommend print; for a small chest logo, embroidery is also possible. We advise you before the print approval.

How do I care for the printed shirts?

According to our product data, the #E190 and My Polo 180 can be washed at 40 °C. To keep the print looking good, wash the pieces inside out and don’t iron directly over the design. You’ll find more tips in our washing instructions.

Not sure yet which B&C model suits your logo? Send us your enquiry – we’ll recommend the model and method.
